Awesome new blogs I found today!!

While lurking around on WUC today I found a new blog to follow!!

The first one is Saving Green in Ohio, by NikkiG! Her posts are far more advanced than mine at this time, and I love the way she has here blog set up, with all the tabs and pages. Maybe one day I will have mine in the advanced stages as well! Thank you NikkiG for all you hard work.

The second one is I heart CVS. In which I found by visiting Saving Green in Ohio! I totally love the one store idea of some of the bloggers out there. Much easier for me to find deals and ad scans by just going to them! So again, Thank you NikkiG, without finding you, I would not have found I heart CVS!!!

I have added both blogs to my blog roll on the right side so I and others can find them easily!!

My Kroger findings this week

So due to the limiting of doubles now, I will have to make several  trips or multiple transactions to acquire more of these items.

Here is my breakdown

2 Suave deodrants $2.12
2 Dial Soap $2.00 (sale this wk $1 ea)
2 2 pack Olay bar soap $4.38

Total: $8.50

cpns used:

2 Suave .50/1 = $2.00
2 Dial .35/1 = $1.40
2 Olay $2/1 = $4.00

Total OOP: $1.58 (tax .48)

I used the $10 Kroger gift card that we received from the paper company for signing up for auto-pay to pay for this transaction so my true OOP was nothing!

Since we have enough Deodorant to last us 2 girls a year, the rest of my purchases will go to family & friends, and I will probably donate the rest to local pantry!

Extreme couponing airing tonight on TLC

So there is a new series beginning, and I will be watching! I don’t agree with the way the show is casted to make people look like hoarders, and the way the people are portrayed as shelf clearing! This is a real BIG NO NO!!!

The show original show that got me interested and hooked is on at 8pm central time and the new episodes are on at 9pm central time!!

One of this weeks trip to CVS…overload of ECBs

So I can’t find my receipt but here goes:

2 Gum Flossers $2 each, used .75/1 Q= $2.50 rec’d $4ECB (FREE  & MM)

2 Crest pro health $3.49 ea, used $1/1 Q = $4.98 rec’d $5 ECB (FREE)

2 Right Guard Bodywash $3.88 ea, used BOGO Q = $3.88 rec’d $3 ECB (88¢ for 2)

2 Oral B toothbrushes $5.98, used $2/1 Q = $1.98 rec’d $1.98 ECB (FREE)

2 Herbal essences $5.49, used BOGO Q and $1/1 Q = $1.74 (5.49 towards p&g ecb deal)

I also used a $5/$25 cvs coupon

I used previous ECB to pay for this and OOP was only tax and I received a total $13.98 ECB back

I love Targets clearances!!!

So these lovely items were on clearance for $4.24 each!! Well I just happen to have lots of coupons for $4 off 1!!!  Which is really awesome. I have purchases the 13 shown here for about $3.25 but the tax is figured before coupons so that was about $3, but still a really good deal. I have put up 4 of them in my house, and I figured they would last about 30 days on the 36 minute setting…so this is just a 3 mth supply. We went back to target a few days later and there were still lots on the shelf so i grabbed 8 more, 4 of which went to friends. I will be heading back to target again in a couple more days and get a few more, providing they still have any left. They only had these 2 scents to choose from, and when we check the refills…WOW at target they were $5.xx I was shocked! Much cheaper to buy these…

My Kroger changed their coupon policy

Well starting today, my Kroger stores here in Bloomington have changed their coupon policy. Before this change I was able to use unlimited doubles-meaning the would double every coupon under .50 cents. This is no more! The will now only double 2 like coupons–meaning I can only use 2 of the same coupons at one time if I want the double bonus! This has made shopping a bit harder, but still I am happy they are at least allowing some doubling to go on.

I now have to watch my expiration dates a lot closer to make sure I am able to get to the store enough times. And if the coupons are beneficial for a sales week, then I only have one week to use them all! More work for my family, but it is well worth it!!

Walk for Fun?Walk for Life!

Walk for Fun?Walk for Life!

My kids and I are walking again this year to raise funds for the American Liver Foundation’s Liver Life Walk on May 14, 2011 @ White River State Park, in Indianapolis, , and we need your help.

This is Julianna’s story through her mothers words:

Julianna, she is the reason we are walking. Julianna is a very special little girl to me. She was born with Biliary Atresia,at 6 wks old she had a Kasai done. It was a long and stressful 6 hr  wait for the news that she would be ok and surgery went great. She stayed in Riley Hospital for at least 5 days. When we took her home it was very stressful and I of course being a mom I was freaking out about everything. I called the doctors for every tiny thing and they were great with me and were understanding. Juli spent alot of time in the hospital with infections. We spent most of her first 2 yrs in Riley from different infections or possible infections.

Juli is now 6,was in a special needs pre-school for 3 yrs, she is now in Kindergarten, which puts me on edge daily. Because Juli has Biliary Atresia she also has Cirrhosis of the liver and Portal Hypertension, she will never be able to play in contact sports or certain activities. If she is hit hard enough she could be seriously hurt. Juli is a mircle child and I want to thank you very much for reading her story and for donating to this great cause.

Donating is easy! Just click the blue “Click Here to Sponsor Me” button to get started. You can also click the blue “Click Here to Walk With Me” button to join the Liver Life Walk too.
